If you are looking for a value option, you may want to check out this Portrait Bundle.  The Silhouette Portrait gives you much of a functionality of the Silhouette CAMEO but with a smaller cutting area of 8 inches wide instead of the Silhouette CAMEO’s 12 inch wide cutting ability.  There are a few other small differences but this in my opinion is the biggest to help you decide which machine is right for you.

The Silhouette Curio is a machine that is a compliment to your cutting machine.  Where as the Silhouette CAMEO and Silhouette Portrait really excel at cutting, the Curio can cut, but where it really shines is at specialty things like embossing and writing.  If you love to do these more specialty crafts then this could be a great option for you.  If you just will primarily be cutting, especially vinyl or heat transfer, I would definitely pick a Silhouette CAMEO or Portrait.
