Grab this FREE Birthday Board Template in .SVG, .DXF and .PNG file formats to cut or print and customize for your little one’s birthday!
If there is one thing that we love to do it is C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E! I am in love with the trend of the birthday board signs as they are always popping up in our Silhouette Facebook Group so I decided I better make up a file to be ready to go for our next birthday around here!
To design my Birthday Board I used fonts from The Hungry Jpeg September Bundle, along with graphics from the Cute Graphics Pack. You can grab either of these bundles at a huge discount on The Hungry Jpeg to complete and customize your board with the same art and fonts!
In the cut file you can download below you will find the structure of this board including:
- Dotted line dividers
- Circle medallion
- Rectangle frames
- Small and large hearts
- Text for “It’s my birthday!,” “I am:,” “Favorites,” and “I Love:”
The board elements are designed with the dimensions 8.5 x 11 but you can scale them individually as large or small as you need for your project so you can do a giant foam board like in my pic, or a smaller keepsake. The elements overlap in the finished design so you will need to cut and then rearrange them into their desired locations.
The base birthday board to customize looks like this:
I used the fonts from The September Bundle:
- The Lolly Font
- Bite Chalk
You can customize your board to look like this one with those two fonts, or choose different ones to suit your style! We absolutely LOVE font bundles because it gives you the best possible price out there on grabbing fonts. September’s bundle includes over 40 fonts and is 95% off and you can grab it here!
If you want a more embellished sign like the floral birthday board I did here, then you will want to grab some cute clip art! The floral graphics are the Mint Coral Flowers from the Emma Flowers Collection in the Cute Graphics Pack. This Graphics pack is one of the best I have seen in a long time because not only does it come with adorable and very usable images, it also comes with many of them already in a cuttable format so you won’t have to trace the design to use it!
Graphics are one of the easiest ways to make your projects more stunning with very little effort! You can use them with the print and cut function by printing them on vinyl or Silhouette Sticker Paper and adding it right on with the rest of the design!
You can grab the free cut file or free printable birthday board below!

this is so cute, thank you
This is just too darn cute…L-O-V-E! Thank YOU!!!
I am unable to download this file in my Silhouette Studio program. Is this available in a Studio3 file, instead of a svg, png, or dfx file? thanks so much for your help!
Hi Tiffany, if you don’t have the version of Silhouette Studio that allows for SVGs you can use the “trace function” in Silhouette to use the file. 🙂
Adorable. Thank you!
Thank you!!!
Thank you!! I have a few months till my child’s 1st birthday but this will definitely be present!
So very cute!
This file is SO cute and I love it. Thank you! I am having a hard time importing the SVG into my Silhouette library. I have designer edition. I did File>Library>Import to Library> and tried to import the SVG. It tells me “file unsupported.” I have the newest updated software. Any tips? Many thanks if you have a moment to reply! 🙂
I just wanted to reply to my own question since I have since figured it out. It turns out my Designer Edition needed to be “reactivated” with my license key. I didn’t realize this! Once I went to the SilhouetteAmerica page and learned how to reactivate it, I was able to update my Designer Edition and then import my SVG of the Birthday Board to my library using the prompts I used above. Sorry to take over your comment section, but in case anyone else is having this issue, thought I’d follow up. Thanks again for the ADORABLE file. 🙂
Thanks so much Kerri! We’re so happy you figured it out and thanks so much for sharing!!
was this printed on the foam? Its so expensive to print!!
This is a mockup but we’d do it with our Silhouette Machine and vinyl. 🙂
Love it….. And thank-you so much for the png file for those of us that dont have cutting machines
Hello I was wondering more about where I can find the floral Mint Coral Flowers from the Emma Flowers Collection? Is this a website or is it only for silhouette users (I have a cricut).
Hi Jessica! It’s a graphic design website so anyone can use the designs with any machine. 🙂
Can you tell me about what size board you used and maybe around how big the words are?? I’m making one for my daughter this week.
This is wonderful, thank you so much! I tried making one for my Grandaughters 1st birthday and it was terrible. This is going to come in very handy for her 2nd birthday! I appreciate it so very much.
Thank you. Love this idea and all the memories it will bring back.
