A few FAQs on the cut files…
I’m getting an error message when I click the .Studio3 file and it won’t open.
Yep, that’s because your computer doesn’t know what program to sue to open it. To open it, you need to open Silhouette Studio first. Then go to File>Open and select the file from your desktop (or wherever you saved the cut file).
How Do I Use the SVGs?
You will need the Designer Edition of the Silhouette Studio software to open an SVG file. You can get it on Amazon here. They sometimes have it as low as about $25 which is about half of retail and was available at the time this posted. If you have the Designer Edition of the software, here is a video tutorial on using SVGs.
How Do I Get the Designs into My Silhouette Studio?
Unless you’re buying from the Silhouette Design Store, designs won’t automatically download to Silhouette Studio.
- First, save the downloads to a folder on your desktop.
- Then, open Silhouette Studio.
- From within the software, Go to File>Open and select the design(s) you want to use.
- Once you have them open you can go to File>Save>Save to Library to save them in Silhouette Studio.

I’m having a lot of trouble cutting this with my cameo. I’m using vinyl and it keeps ripping. I have tried making an offset to the letters and I’ve tried cutting it on card stock as well. I even took apart the blade compartment and tried cleaning that too. I finally gave up and tried a new blade and it is still ripping the vinyl. Can you please give me any suggestions>I love your adorable designs by the way.
I would make sure that the depth setting in your software and that you manually set on your blade are the same. Also, you can try slowing down the speed a bit and see if that helps. There could be any number of factors at play, so if these don’t help, I would definitely call the silhouette help line! Good luck!
How do you apply to the tote you have pictured? I have a similar tote but not sure how to apply the HTV to it. Any help is appreciated. 🙂

Where can I buy this file for commercial use? I checked your Etsy shop and didn’t see it ?
Hi Bailey! This one was never listed but you can send $5 to us via Paypal ([email protected]) and put “for commercial use of the Beach Vibes only cut file” in the notes. 🙂
Done! Thank you!
